Have you been turned down for life insurance?
If so, you may be wondering why insurers would deny someone life insurance.
Since insurers are in business to make a profit, they usually won't insure someone who poses a serious health risk, meaning that person may have a shortened life expectancy. And, that the insurer would end up paying a death claim sooner rather than later.
There are several common reasons someone may be declined for life insurance, which may include:
Age - People over age 75 or 80.
Health - People who have a chronic or terminal health condition.
Driving Record - Someone who has 2 or more DUIs in the past 5 years.
Hobbies - High risk hobbies.
Occupation - High risk jobs.
Lifestyle - Drug and/or alcohol abuse.
